The troop committee consists of parents who serve in specific roles form the foundation on which Troop 677 is based. Our principal function is to ensure that the troop has a group of strong, committed leaders and conducts a program that fulfills the needs of the boys while adhering to Boy Scouts of America guidelines. It is a tradition of the troop, that at least one parent from each family becomes a registered scouter and serves as a voting member of the troop committee. We owe a lot of our success to this tradition of parent involvement and support. It also means that the various committee tasks are distributed across a large group of capable individuals, tapping into their unique skills while working around busy schedules.
The chart below shows the current status of the 2003-2004 "Draft". Open spots are opportunities for you to aid the effort.
Clicking on a committee position will take you to a brief description of that role. Italic names are recent additions. Parents are also needed to act as coordinators for the various activities and outings that the scouts planned at the annual planning camp out. See the Activity Coordinator List for additional opportunities.
